Six-month contract Research Analyst role supporting energy-sector research, market intelligence, competitive analysis, data synthesis, and strategic recommendations for a climate-tech/finance partner, with AI and automation used to improve research efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research across energy sectors, including data centers and emerging energy technologies.
- Collect and analyze investment, project-deployment, supply-chain, and commercialization data.
- Synthesize complex information into actionable summaries, frameworks, reports, and strategic recommendations.
- Maintain documented research repositories and use or recommend AI and automation tools to improve productivity.
- Collaborate with teams and present findings through written reports and presentations.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Environment/Climate, or another science.
- 3+ years of research experience or relevant energy-industry experience.
- Research experience or strong interest in energy sectors, especially data centers and emerging power-generation technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and experience with data entry, research, or project tracking.
- Clear written and verbal communication; familiarity with Google Sheets/Excel and research methodologies.
- Comfort with AI and automation tools; self-driven ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
