Pathfinder International seeks a Program Officer to lead state-level implementation of routine immunisation and HPV vaccination work, coordinating with government institutions, civil-society partners, and community stakeholders in Katsina.
Responsibilities
- Lead project implementation and coordination with the State Ministry of Health, SPHCDA, finance ministry, LGAs, and other state institutions.
- Support immunisation and HPV performance reviews, use health and financing data, and track actions to address implementation gaps.
- Provide technical support for political engagement, domestic-financing monitoring, and accountability for vaccination resources.
- Oversee community demand-generation activities and manage the state civil-society partner.
- Support HPV integration, monitor implementation, collect and verify data, and prepare periodic reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, health policy, social sciences, development studies, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree is an advantage.
- At least five years of progressively responsible public-health programme-management experience in Nigeria.
- Demonstrated experience in immunisation, primary health care, or health-systems strengthening.
- Experience engaging state-government institutions and managing or monitoring local partners or subgrantees.
- Strong routine-health-data analysis and English communication skills; fluency in Hausa is required.
