Pathfinder International seeks a State Program Officer to lead operational and technical delivery in Kaduna for routine immunization and HPV vaccination, including government coordination, domestic-financing support, CSO oversight, demand generation, monitoring, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead project implementation and coordination with Kaduna state health, finance, local-government, and related institutions.
- Support immunization and HPV performance reviews, evidence-to-policy translation, and implementation tracking.
- Track RI and HPV budget approvals, releases, and expenditure and provide technical assistance to government leaders.
- Manage and verify the state CSO partner, oversee demand-generation activities, support data-quality and monitoring work, and submit periodic reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, health policy, social sciences, development studies, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- At least five years of progressive public-health program-management experience in Nigeria, including immunization, primary health care, or health-systems strengthening.
- Experience working with state-government institutions and managing, mentoring, or monitoring local partners or subgrantees.
- Strong ability to analyze routine data, budgets, and performance information; excellent English and fluency in Hausa required.
