Full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist role at Rouz Hospital and Maternity in Abuja, supporting microbiology sample processing and testing, results documentation, laboratory stock and equipment upkeep, quality compliance, and supervisory cover.
Responsibilities
- Process microbiology samples and accurately read and record test results.
- Identify microorganisms using instrumental and classical microbiology techniques.
- Maintain complete laboratory records and documentation.
- Manage consumable and equipment stocks and keep the laboratory clean, safe, and organized.
- Report deviations or out-of-specification results and follow through on corrective actions; provide supervisory cover when needed.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Science Laboratory Technology or Microbiology.
- Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Experience with laboratory procedures, including microbiology work.
- Computer literacy plus effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Applicant must reside in Abuja.
