UNICEF consultancy supporting financial-system strengthening for health-programme entities, including accounting-software rollout, financial-management training, reporting, grant reviews, and assessments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct state-level training-of-trainers on accounting software.
- Lead accounting-software rollout and data migration across participating entities.
- Deliver bi-monthly financial-management training for PHCDA accountants at state, LGA, and ward levels.
- Prepare quarterly FMSS progress reports and establish financial-management knowledge systems.
- Conduct grant-performance reviews, variance analyses, and quarterly sample assessments with PHCDA audit and finance teams.
Requirements
- University degree in social sciences, business administration, finance, accounting, audit, or another relevant field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, financial controls, and partnership management.
- Experience supporting donor-funded health programmes and working with government or sub-national entities is required or advantageous as specified.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, donor compliance, grant management, and public financial management systems.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with strong report-writing, presentation, analytical, capacity-building, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
