Supervise community health workers and lead community engagement to improve routine immunization access and uptake among children under five in hard-to-reach areas of Borno State.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the daily activities of community health workers in the assigned area.
- Assess hard-to-reach locations with low routine-immunization coverage and identify barriers.
- Collaborate with community leaders, local authorities, and religious figures to facilitate safe access.
- Lead focus-group discussions and health-awareness sessions and support community communication strategies.
- Organize, train, coach, and monitor CHW staff and conduct quality-improvement follow-up.
Requirements
- Degree or studies in Social Work, Health Promotion, or another relevant field.
- At least 2 years of relevant supervisory experience in the humanitarian sector, especially fragile or unstable environments.
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and internet use.
- Experience with donor compliance and reporting.
- English fluency; Hausa and Kanuri are an asset.
