Full-time, on-site Chinese Translator role with AVATAR New Energy Materials Co. Limited, supporting Chinese-English translation and interpretation between management and Nigerian production staff at its lithium-mining operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide oral and written Chinese-English translations in both directions.
- Interpret meetings and on-site communication between Chinese management and Nigerian production staff.
- Translate production documents, daily reports, work instructions, and technical materials.
- Support production supervision, targets, schedules, procedures, training, and equipment-operation instructions.
- Help resolve communication gaps and serve as a cultural bridge between Chinese and Nigerian employees.
Requirements
- B.Sc. degree and 2–3 years of experience.
- Proven translation and interpretation experience, preferably in mining, business, or technical work.
- Fluency in spoken and written Chinese and English.
- Hausa speaking and hearing is an advantage.
- Responsible with good management skills; China study or work experience is an advantage.
